Fake university degrees found

TEHRAN -- Health Minister Marzieh Vahid-Dastjerdi announced on Tuesday that some fake degrees of foreign medical universities have been found.

Talking to the Mehr News Agency, she said that forgers are identified and they had no chance to use the fake degrees for serving or training in health fields.

She noted that no case of fake degrees of local universities has been found but there are some fake degrees of foreign universities.

By using special technologies, there is no possibility for forging domestic degrees, she said.

She went on to say that several inquiries will be made for approving foreign university degrees.

Most of the fake degrees are related to the “low quality foreign universities”, Vahid-Dastjerdi added
