Study regarding unergonomic postures using an VR-trainer temporaryly provided by
XITACT company



A variety of methods were used for the evaluation of ergonomy in several work places by the working area:



For the basic evaluation of ergonomic aspects in ORs a extensive check list was set up.

With the help of OR personal surveys ergonomic deficites in the OR were identificated in detail.

Video observations and -documentation can be made in the OR on site and routinely in the laboratory.

A mobile ultrasound tracking system is deployed for the analysis of movements of persons and instruments.

A telemetric EMG allows the measurement of muscular stess and fatigue during the several postures and using diverse devices and instruments.

In Studies ergonomic shortcomings of OR tables, of monitor positions and the manually operated instruments could be demonstrated and improvements could be recommended. This resulted in several patents and products.
