در این حمله نظامی، شیطان بزرگ با مفتضحانه‏ترین وضعی شکست خورد. شکست شیطان بزرگ در این عملیات، حمله فیلداران ابرهه را به خانه کعبه در ذهن‏ها زنده می‏کند.
لشگریان ابرهه، همچون نیروهای متجاوز آمریکایی، از فراوانی قدرت و شوکت، تصور نمی‏کردند کسی بتواند مانع حمله آنها به خانه کعبه شود، ولی آن هنگام که به سوی کعبه هجوم آغاز کردند، به فرمان خداوند متعالی پرندگانی در آسمان ظاهر شدند و سنگ‏هایی که در منقار داشتند، بر سر فیل‏سواران فرود آوردند و بدین وسیله، کافران یکی پس از دیگری به هلاکت رسیدند.
در پنجم اردیبهشت ۱۳۵۹ نیز دانه‏های ریز شن، دسیسه بزرگ آمریکا را فرو شکست.
