Petrology & Geochemistryof Volcanic Case study Mountain Sorkh of South East Desert Chah Jam

Abstract:
In petrographic study of Sorkh Kouh (the red mountain) rocks, the plagioclase Phenocrysts were analyzed into Calcites. The Olivine from Phenocrysts with shaped high rises is broken down to chlorite in some parts. Another characteristic of this mineral is convex fractures. Hornblende burned with rhomboid and extended Hobbit are spread in the whole rock and the space between them is filled with calcite. Hyaline matrix and Hyloporphric tissue of fine and coarse plagioclase Phenocrysts are among the features of these rocks. In magmatic series charts, the majority of cases are located within the Calco-alkaline area. These rocks are of metaluminous nature. High LILE / HFSE arises in volcanic rocks of the region as a result of LILE components entry into the plate sliding under the mantle wedge above it. The course of oxides changes in main elements against the fraction coefficient indicates the origin of mafic rocks from a single magmatic source and the role of fractional crystallization in the transformation of samples from olivine basalt to Andesite tracks. The enrichment of samples under study from light rare earth elements (LREE) and their depletion from heavy rare earth elements (HREE) show in the rocks are located in Tectono-magmatic area of the arc.
