Aldar Central Market, Abu Dhabi

The historic Abu Dhabi Central Market is one of the oldest sites in the city. Inspired by the traditional architecture of the Gulf this scheme aims to reinvent the market place as a contemporary mixed-use complex and give the city a new civic heart.

IB Tower

The IB Tower development brings together a variety of spaces for living and working in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, all within the compact footprint of a 58-storey, 275-metre-high tower – when complete, it will be one of the tallest mixed-use developments in the city.

Jameson House

Vancouver, Canada, 2004

The scheme continues the practice’s investigation into contemporary interventions within historic structures, explored previously in a high-rise context with the Hearst Tower in New York. The project is also an example of a building that combines living and working in one location, encouraging social activity and balancing energy consumption between its mix of daytime and night-time uses.

Eurogate, is a dramatic new zero-emission, sustainable building that offers flexible office, hotel and/or conferencing facilities. It benefits from a prime location along the harbour front, extending the already vibrant public attractions and pedestrian routes around Duisburg Inner Harbour.

PricewaterhouseCoopers, 7 More London Riverside

London, UK, 2007-2009

The first office building in England to achieve the BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ accreditation, 7 More London Riverside provides flexible, open-plan office accommodation in a sustainable new headquarters for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP within the More London masterplan – the regeneration of a 13-acre brownfield site on the south bank of the River Thames.

The Troika

Located at the north-eastern corner of the Park, within the precincts of Kuala Lumpur City Centre – Kuala Lumpur’s ‘city within a city’ – the Troika development combines apartments, offices, shops and restaurants within a single complex, with the aim of promoting a more sustainable, densely planned approach to living and working in the twenty-first century city.

‘City Park’ masterplan for West Kowloon Cultural District is designed to capture and recreate the unique character that makes Hong Kong such a great city. At its heart, a 23-hectare park and a green avenue will provide a landscaped setting for a series of spectacular new cultural buildings.

Vietinbank Business Centre

Hanoi, Vietnam, 2010

VietinBank Business Centre is Foster + Partners first project in Vietnam and pioneers an ambitious sustainable agenda, while demonstrating the emergence of Hanoi as an international financial centre. The development is characterised by two landmark towers and is strategically located between central Hanoi and the airport, forming a striking new gateway to the city.
